47 North Oral Surgery, P.S., in Kirkland Washington seeks Oral Surgeons – Use masks, gloves, and safety glasses to protect patients and self from infectious diseases. Examine teeth, gums, and related tissues, using dental instruments, x-rays, or other diagnostic equipment, to evaluate dental health, diagnose diseases or abnormalities, and plan appropriate treatments. Administer anesthetics to limit the amount of pain and anxiety experienced by patients during procedures including Dentoalveolar Surgery. Use dental hand piece, hand instruments, dental appliances, or surgical implements. See more occupations related to this task. Formulate plan of treatment for patient’s oral and maxillofacial region including dental implant and maxillofacial reconstructive surgery. Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, or malformations of the oral and maxillofacial region and provide preventive or corrective services. Write prescriptions for the medical management of diseases of the oral and maxillofacial region. Advise or instruct patients regarding preventive dental care, the causes and treatment of dental problems, or oral health care services. Remove impacted teeth. Expose malposed, impacted and ectopic teeth for orthodontic purpose. Place endosseous dental implants to support the replacement of missing teeth. Evaluate, treatment plan and provide the peri-operative management and orthognathic surgical care for correction of dentofacial deformities. Remove and biopsy diseased tissue, using surgical instruments. Manage business aspects such as employing or supervising staff or handling paperwork or insurance claims. Analyze or evaluate dental needs to determine changes or trends in patterns of dental disease. Produce or evaluate dental health educational materials.

Requires DMD or DDS (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree, Completion of an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program, Washington State Dental License, Washington State General Anesthesia Permit. Must be BC or BE in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Requires Three (3) yrs. experience in the Job Offered. Experience must have included at least 3 yrs. in each of the following Performing Orthognathic Surgery; Managing staff as it relates to medical techniques and decision; Performing Dental implant and maxillofacial reconstructive surgery; and Private practice management and operations.
